This story begins in a mall on the planet Earth. Not a mall of pure retail, because in the age this story takes place, everyone has access to a personal computing device that can be used to order anything from anywhere and have it delivered to their home. This mall provides housing for people that cannot afford housing, and a variety of services that require you to be present to recieve. (Here is a Video 13:40 of this concept) A few of these places include beauty parlors or even plastic surgery, a food court, and a gaming area that contains large pod gaming machines that can twist and turn to introduce motion into the games. Classic arcade machines are nowhere to be found, but there are places where classic games can be played together with friends by connecting personal computing devices. One place that has emerged in recent history is a place that offers treatments to humans to alter thier DNA and become human GMOs. There was also a medical wing of the mall, that had a quarenteen section so that infected people could see family members though a pane of glass with speakers on either side.
A Woman wanders though the mall with her son, looking for the service desk for the personal housing. She has recently lost her husband, and is in need of a place to live and care for her child. She was forced to sell the family's house in the countryside, an advanced tiny house that allowed her family to live simply and grow more than enough food for the family, and make some profit on the side. She has qualified to recieve goverment aid that allows her to browse many housing locations. This mall had been advertised as one of the safest places for children, with nearby parks and a very low violent crime rate.
As they wandered though the mall, they passed one of the DNA modification treatment centers. There were several humanoid looking creatures, creatures that the boy had only seen on videos on the internet. As they passed, the creatures, that looked like they had once been human, stared at the little boy. The little boy stared back. The boy asked his mother "What is wrong with them?". The mother, struggling to find the service desk, snapped back at the boy while yanking him along, "Hush! Nothing is wrong with them, they just look different than you! STOP STARING!"
The boy's mother eventually found the line to the desk. It was a long line, and she began to worry about if her reservation had be processed properly. At the two waited in line, the boy grew more impatient, and started asking several questions. Boy: "When do we get to go back home?" Mother: "This is our home now sweetie" Boy: "But I don't want to live here" Mother: "We don't have a choice" Boy: "But there are weird people that stare at me here..." Mother: "They weren't staring, you were staring! Stop calling them weird!" Boy: "But the furfags were the ones staring at me!" Mother: "DON'T EVER USE THAT WORD! YOU ARE BECOMING AS HATEFUL AS YOUR FATHER!"
This angered the boy. "Why are furfags treated like they are so high and mighty? They haven't done nothin' for nobody" he thought. He quickly looked around the mall for something that could distract him from this unplesant situation. Naturally his attention was grabbed by the arcade, and one machine stood out from the rest. This machine was decorated with a face of a cat like humanoid, eyes focused upward, with a single tear rolling down her cheek. The machine also had the text "Warp to your final destination...". The text appaered to be warping though space, with an explosion at the end of the warp. "That looks fun, I want to kill me some space furries!"
Seeing this as a possible escape, the boy tugged his mothers pants. Boy: "Mommy, can I play at the arcade?" At this point the mother had lost her patience, but her turn was quickly coming up in line. She knows that you can be denied your reservation if you don't stay calm though the reception process. She needed the boy out of her hair for just a short time. "Sure, take some money, and stay where I can see you! Mommy will be done with these nice people shortly. Maybe you can learn to make some new friends over there." The boy took the money and head over to the machine. He opened the hatch and climbed in. As he did, a furry talking with her furry friends happen to notice the scene.
She quickly interrupted all of her friends and said, "Oh my god! *giggle* Isn't that addorable?! Check out that albino crawling into that right to termination pod! If that little hitler can't rule the world, he would rather just delete himself!" She laughed and pointed with all of her friends. "I'm sorry Mega Earth didn't work out for you little boy!" This commotion caught the attention of the mother. "Why are those furries pointing at my son?" she thought. By now she was working with the receptionist and decided to finish her reservation. The boy was in her sight in the closest gamming pod to her, after all.
The boy was now fully inside the pod. The interior darkened, as the outer glass turned from being transparent, to displaying a screen that shows outer space. A voice comes from a speaker inside the pod "Welcome to the journey of your final destination. Please select your final destination..." Many images appeared on the inner screen, depicting several different scenes. A meddow, under water ocean reef, a clouded sky, and outer space in the milky way galaxy. The boy says "Ah ha! I want to kill me some SPACE FURRIES!" and presses the outer space icon. The voice then says "Select method of termination". Then images of a gassy cloud with a skull on it, a lightning bolt, and some others filled the screen. "Hmmm, what weapon do I want to terminate these space furries with... how about this tesla coil?" He then selected the lightning bolt. Two handles then came into the pod. The boy looked at the two handles. The voice chimed in agian "Firmly grasp the handles with both hands" The boy firmly grasped both handles with excitement, the game was finnally going to begin!
As the mother was finishing up work with the receptionist, she could not shake the feeling that something was wrong. She kept glancing at the pod, but this time the glass was no longer transparent and could not see her child. She didn't see him exit, but still felt uneasy that he was no longer in her view. She quickly scanned the pod and nearby looking for anything that should require her attention, and that's when the two words "final destination" jumped out at her. She knew what kind of pod this was, but what was it doing right inside of an arcade?! Now fully aware of everything that was happening, she dropped her interaction with the receptionist, and ran as fast as she could to the pod.
The inside of the pod then started playing poignant and melancholy music, with an animation of flying though space. (Maybe it had some poignant dialog with it as well, you know, hippie shit lol) "Whats with this furfag music?" he thought. Then the travel started speeding up and the music fadded. "Alright, maybe this is it! Its finally time to kill those furries!" Then suddenly X number volts of electricity surged though the electrode handles. "Die furries!" he screamed.
As the mother ran to the pod, she saw the inside flicker intensly and screamed as she ran faster and faster to the pod. She tore open the pod and looked at her son. He was blacked by the shock, still with smoke coming off of him. Just then a mechanism in the pod opened a shaft that swept the boy down the tube. As he slipped, he let out a low groan. He was still alive! The mother despritly grabbed for the boy's hand, but was less than an inch from making contact. When the tube opened, it revealed the text "to incinerator" with an arrow inside of the tube.
